We came here with no money yet
somehow we found a home
no longer must we beg of you
no longer must we roam
though strangers here true friends we find
and the best things here are free
in our little mobile home by the sea
Funny little mushrooms
grow like crazy in our backyard
at the end of the street you could buy a drink
if you have an I.D. card
oh mountains you're so beautiful
but I'm thankful here to be
in our little mobile home by the sea
Mike Armistead comes in singing here...
the folks around here are nice and kind
what a real good place to come unwind
you can swim your body meditate your mind
no finer place will you find
than good old North Caroline
and the fiddles play and so does Tony Williamson
It's a long long way from Holden Beach
to Asheville North Carolina
betwixt and between a paradise lies
there aint no place no finer
I've been to town and I've seen the sights
but I'm content as I can be
in our little mobile home by the sea
Mike Armistead comes in singing here...
and the folks round here are nice and kind
what a real good place to come unwind
there's rapids to raft
and mountains to climb
no finer place will you find
than good ole North Caroline
